I know that in Yemen 9% of the children are
married by 15 and 32% of the children are
married by 18. I also know that several bills
were rejected by the government. These bills
proposed to set the marriage age at 17 or 18.
What do I need to find out?
I need to find more background information
on my issue like statistics (deaths, injuries
and divorce), causes of child marriage in
Yemen, the legal age of marriage. Also, I
need to find the official definition of child
marriage. I need to know the general
marriage rights so I can compare Yemeni
rights and the general marriage rights (which

deaths and I also have to find a real life story
about a bride who has been injured but she
still survived. Also, I need to search for

is useful as there is an official
activist action revolving

Yemen. The website care is
 useful but its action is not
solely focused on child brides
in Yemen. It is focused on

I will use refmee. To do
this, I simply have to
create a refmee account
and I can cite websites
and save them in
separate projects. I can
simply copy my website
address from the search
bar at the top to collect
my website links.
I will use the internet and
available library books to
collect my research data.
The method in which this
data will be collected is
notetaking on cue cards
and also I will summarize
and paraphrase it. The
tools used to save the
data will be word.
Why will I use them/do this?

This is because on refmee, I
can cite the website and save it
on the same page. Also, refmee
allows me to export my
bibliography when needed in
any form (pdf, copy and paste
or word)
Note taking is a good technique
because when I note take, I
actually have to understand the
information instead of copy and
pasting it. Also, writing my
notes on cue cards in good as I
can know the order of my notes
and that will help me organize
the data better. Paraphrasing is
good because it encourages me
to not plagiarize and
summarizing is good because
my information because
concise and easy to read after Ii
summarize it. I will be using

I did use
refmee to cite my websites and
store the citations. I found this
technoque very convenient.
I did use the internet to
research for my data.
However, I did not use books
as there were no recent books
which were up to date with the
issue. (from 2017). I
paraphrased and summarized
my data and it worked very
well as my data sounded
original. However, I did not
take notes on cue cards as it
would have taken too much
time to write so much
information by hand. Thus, I

collect data by saving it
in my notes (which are
included in Diigo)

I choose the cutting and pasting
method because it is better for
me to concentrate when my
notes are in the form of
hardcopy. Also, by using the
cutting and pasting method, I

highlight any part of a webpage.
This will help me to remember
which information I have to
actually print rather than just
