MohamedelQasabgi(Arabic:pronounced[intheEgyptian
dialect]elAsabgi)(189225March,1966)wasanEgyptianmusicianand
composer,andisregardedasoneofthefiveleadingcomposersofEgyptin
the20thcentury.MostofhiscreditswenttoUmmKulthum,Asmahan,and
LaylaMuradwhosangmostofhisgreatworksandscores.Untiltoday,
mostcriticsclassifyMohamedElQasabgiasthemasteroftheouddueto
hisgreatabilitiesandskillswhichhehadduringhistime.

Inmostofhistunes,thereisarealsensationofthepureOrientalspirit,
mixedwithEuropeanmusicaltechniquesandtaste.Thiswasmostlyseen
insongslikeYaToyour,Raa'ElHabeeb,AnaAlbiDaleeli.

Intheabovementionedsongsandmanyothers,hewaswidelyrecognized
bymostmusiciansandcriticsatthattimeastheleaderofdevelopmentof
Orientalmusic,andmixingitwithnewestmusicaltechniquesand
