13 | P a g e
The current and future legislations in the country are one of the factors that can affect in

the condition of a business some of these are taxation laws, environmental laws and employment

laws. Taxation law in business affects business costs because if theres a rise in tax it will make

costlier for a business to operate. Environmental laws affecting business include industrial waste,

sustainable development of raw materials and water and air emissions. These issues affect

business because laws require businesses to change equipment and procedures to meet imposed

standards, which costs businesses money. Employment law covers the following areas of

employment: employment contracts and conditions; the treatment of employees; employee pay

and working hours; sickness absence and time off work; and business transfers and takeovers

which are essentially affects the business in employer/employee relationship aspect.

Economical

The business is affected because of economic growth, inflation and interest rates, and

economic stability. At the time of slow economic growth or recession, people lose their jobs,

unemployment level goes up, and income level decreases. As a result, demand for goods and

services falls and sales slowdown. Inflation increases profits as well as the cost of doing business

and implies higher demand for products at higher prices and a tight employment market with

rising wages. Economic stability encourages businesses to expand and take risks when economic

conditions are right, because in this state theres a rising demand and low interest rates.

Social

Some social aspects also affect a business like lifestyle trends, convenience, and

demographics. Lifestyle trend affects businesses like having a healthy lifestyle. Convenience a

factor that always seeks by the consumers. Demographics, which includes the income, gender,
