The company has to adopt such a work culture so that
diversity is encouraged in the company.

CRITICAL FACTORS

1.Equality There should be equality in the


workplace. The managers should not practice
discrimination on the grounds of race, gender,
colour, sexual orientation and caste. The managers
should accept their subordinates in all conditions. A
work of a manager is to discriminate an employee
on the basis of his work and nothing else. If the
manager discriminates on the basis of the above
given field then it gives rise to the feeling of
resentment and isolation in the hearts of the
employees and this thus would result in their
performance thus harming the image of the
company.
2.Diversity In order to practice hygiene factor for
the minority recruited in the company, the
company should recruit more people from the
diverse background so as to ensure effective
implementation of diversity management system.
Diversity in the company would lead to more and
fresh ideas from different backgrounds. Diversity is
very essential for a company so as to keep the
company run successfully.
3.Minority Minority are not treated in a proper way
by their superiors, subordinates or clients. They are

looked down upon and are victimized. A lot of
women were harassed even the ones who were in
a senior position.
4.Homogeneous workforce the workforce
homogeneity was due to several reasons. The
minority faced a lot of problems and the women
faced the problems of sexual harassment due to
lack of professionalism. The company should have
such role models who would encourage the
employees to work harder and give them proper
motivation as and when required and not to
discriminate between then in any field or on any
grounds. A failure in giving proper motivation may
lead to dissatisfaction and alienation in the hearts
of the employees and this may drive the
employees towards quitting their jobs.
5.Company policies In order for the company to
work properly and efficiently the company must
have proper HR policies which are formed keeping
company objectives in mind. The company policies
should also be formed keeping the equlity in mind
and the grievances of the human capital as they
are the most important capital of the company. The
company while formulating the policies should
keep compensation in mind, fair means of profit
distribution, the contributions of the employees
and open door policy.

ALTERNATIVES
1.The company can hire minorities and more women
at a senior level Firstly, by hiring a minority at a
senior level it would give them a boost and self
confidence that the company does not victimize

them. Secondly, by being in a senior position a
minority would be able to understand the
grievances of a minority at a lower level. And
thirdly, hiring a minority would also decrease the
problems of diversity.
2.The company should organize awareness programs
Firstly, the diversity issues would be reduced.
Secondly, doing this would make everyone
understand the problems of minority group and
also the problems faced by the women. Thirdly,
this would give the employees a wider outlook too
and would help them to mingle with the minority
thus changing their mind-set.
3.Maintaining the current situation Maintaining the
current position would mean having no changes in
the organization. This would mean no change in
the work culture and thus the retention rate would
keep decreasing as the disappointed and the
aggrieved employees would quit their job from the
company.

RECOMMENDATIONS
We would recommend option one and two. By
performing these tasks the company increase its
goodwill and the employees would be willing to
work in the company. For any employee his self-
respect would come first and thus seeing this
would boost his confidence and he would now work
with double the effort giving profits to the
company. Employees are the human capital of a
company and thus the most important asset of the
company. IF the employees are not happy then it
would not take time for the company to shut down

as only equipments without human capital will not
make any organization successful.
