Interests
Currently arranging a collection of early 20th century 12-tone compositions including pieces by
Dallapiccola, Webern, Schoenberg, and Babbit for guitar quartet (electric or classical).

Currently researching music from Bhutan, and the concept of ma as an improvisatory gesture in the
Court music of Japan called Gagaku.

Current analysis includes Spectral composers and spectral compositional techniques of Gerard Grisey
and Tristan Murail, the chamber music of Alfred Schnittke, and the improvisatory vocabulary of Eric
Dolphy.

Experience
Has performed internationally with groups including Realicide (Noise/HxC/Grindcore/Gabber),
Liver Quiver (Alto Saxophone/Guitar/Drums), Fields and Planes (Indie Pop), Oliver Oak (Chamber
Folk), and The Elvis Extravaganza Band (and Elvis Impersonator Group).

Self-led groups include: Liver Quiver (Alto Saxophone/Guitar/Drums) Aaron Quinn Sextet
(Voice/Clarinet/Tenor Saxophone/Guitar/Bass/Drums), Aaron Quinn Nonet (Voice/Clarinet/Tenor
Saxophone/Trombone/Tuba/Vibraphone/Guitar/Bass/Drums), Small Large Ensemble (Text based
open instrumentation pieces), TBQT (Trombone quartet with rhythm section), CHORO CHORO
(specializing in Choro, Frevo, and Forro).

As an improviser he currently works with Brad Linde in multiple groups including Dix Out (Avant
Garde Dixieland), Roger Over and Out (new takes on Millers music), Team Players, (new music for
two saxophones, guitar and drums) and Big Ol (newly commission music for a 14 piece ensemble).

As a composer, his work has been premiered and performed all over the United States including at the
Atlas Performing Arts Center in Washington D.C., CSCC in Columbus, Ohio, and Elastic in Chicago,
Illinois. Recent commissions include a piece for percussion ensemble, saxophone quartet, and 15 piece
improvisatory ensemble.

Copyist work includes lead sheets and arrangements for Vaughn Wiester, Mark Flugge, Stan Smith,
Bill Dobbins and Danny Augier utilizing the Finale program.
