POLICIES AND GUIDELINES
DPWH management reiterates strict compliance to the DPWH IT Policies
and Guidelines embodied in D.O. No. 20, series of 2007 (Revised Policies
and Guidelines on the Use of DPWH Information Technology Resources,
Including Computers, Communication Network, and the Internet) and the
existing memorandum on computer games.

This is in line with the Departments policy that pirated software,


especially computer games, should not be downloaded or installed on the
Departments computers as they are intended for work purposes only. As
computer games is a major sources of computer viruses that pose serious
threat to the DPWH network, the playing of computer games also hampers
employees productivity and inhibits the efcient use of ofce time.
