Know Your Worth


"But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be
of God, and not of us" (2 Corinthians 4:7).

I hate myself. Theres nothing good in me. Have you ever met folks who talk this
way? Such people sometimes wouldnt even look at themselves in the mirror
anymore. Its a pity that many people dont know their worth. Its your responsibility to
know what youre worth, to discover the treasure God has placed in you and use it to
beautify your life.
The Bible says, For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works,
which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10). So you
see, youre Gods best and He wants you to discover the treasures Hes deposited in
you. He gave you the necessary material, which is His Word, so you can live in glory.
Its your responsibility to discover your worth by studying the Word. If you could
only look inward and use the Word to build yourself up, youll always value yourself.
The Word is your mirror: But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of
the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the
Lord (2 Corinthians 3:18).
As you discover your worth, youll also discover Gods purpose for your life. Youre
valuable to Him, thats why He placed you on the earth to affect the lives of many in this
world. You have to acknowledge what He has deposited in you and walk in the light of
it.
