Transitions

When students move to their desk they will sing:

I'm Singing to my Desk
I'm singing to my desk
Just singing to my desk
Getting my materials out because I'm (clap)
Happy today!
When students come to the carpet they will sing
Hands in Your Lap (when coming to the carpet):
Hands in your lap now 1, 2, 3
Legs like a pretzel 1, 2, 3
Smile on your face now 1, 2, 3
Turn around and look at me.
When students line up for the door there will be a new leader each day. They will put
their hand on their hip and their other figure on their mouth (saying shhh)
When students finish assignments they will go play at the centers or work on
additional work depending on what I say
o Most of the time there will be an extension that the students can do
