A Single Circuit 50Hz, 3-Phase Transmission Line has the

Following Parameters per km:
R=0.2 ohm, L=1.3mH, and C=0.01 F
The voltage at The Receiving End is 132kV. If The Line is Open at The
Receiving End, Find the RMS Value and Phase Angle of The
Following.
I. The Incident Voltage to Neutral at The Receiving End
(Reference)
ANSWER: - 38100 volts
II. The Reflected Voltage to Neutral at The Receiving End
(Reference)
ANSWER: - 38100 volts
III. The Incident and the Reflected Voltage to Neutral at 120km
from the Receiving End.
ANSWER: - The Incident Voltage to Neutral at 120km from the

Receiving End=39.35 8.02 kV . The Reflected Voltage to

Neutral at 120km from the Receiving End=36.88 8.02 kV

2. Determine the Sending End Voltage, Current, Power and Power

Factor for a 160km Section of 3-Phase Line Delivering 50MVA at
132kV and PF 0.8 lagging. Also find The Efficiency and Regulation of
the Line. Resistance of Line is 0.1557 ohm per km, Spacing 3.7m,
6.475m, 7.4m transposed. Evaluate the A, B, C, and D Parameters
also. Diameter of Conductor is 1.956cm.
