-writes the title on the blackboard
- elicits the words PET, SHOP and FUN
-asks Ss to look at the pictures on page 44: Look at the pictures and tell me
what animals can you see
Ss-answer the question
T-now well listen to the Cd

WHILE LISTENING:

T tells the Ss to try to sing and do

AFTER LISTENING

T- elicits the verbs: CRAWL, FLY, JUMP, SWIM, WALK,TALK

ACTIVITY 2: SPEAKING AND WRITING


TIME: 10 minutes
INTERACTION: group work

T tells the Ss that they well do the next activity in groups of four
-establishes the groups
-each group will receive flashcards with animals, with the verbs CRAWL,
FLY, JUMP, SWIM, WALK, TALK, RUN, SING, CLIMB and with
CAN/CANT
- you have to try to make up sentences using the flashcards.
-write them in your notebooks
S- do this
T-asks some students to tell some sentences
ACTIVITY 3: LISTENING AND READING
TIME: 15 minutes
INTERACTION: individually

T-tells the Ss to look at exercise 2 on page 44-45


- listen and try to find out the animals you hear
S-listen
T- What animals did you hear?
S- answer
T-now well listen again and you have to read
S-listen and read while listening
T-asks some students to read the lesson
S- read on roles

ASSESSMENT: appreciates the active pupils and gives advice to the less
active ones.

HOMEWORK: gives Ss a handout with verb CAN
