hat came with it, took a few pictures and waited until Thursday when the 2 GB SD
card came that I had ordered.
##The camera was sitting on my home desk waiting for the new digital card and th
e weekend for the first round of serious shooting.
##It was NOT dropped or sat on or subjected to any other trauma -- it just sat o
n my desk in my home office where no one goes but me.
LCD[-1]##When I went to put in the new SD Card I looked at the LCD Screen -- CRA
CKED-- and the fluid gave a Jackson Pollock type appearance to the screen, black
and blue and purple blotches and streaks --useless.
##I have called Cannon they are sending me an RFA-- I will let you know if they
treat me well or otherwise.

at the beginning of the month as the ultimate pocket camera and have shot 300 im
ages so far with it.

s the quality is plenty high to manipulate and crop images to your hearts desire

Powerup[+2]##Powerup is quick, and you can even set your favorite image to displ
ay for a second or so as it turns on.
640x480 mode[+2],quality[+2]##I have especially enjoyed the 640x480 mode, while
not a replacement for a dedicated video camera, its quality easily surpasses tha
t of my old Hi-8 camera and is perfect for quick clips of things that still imag
es just dont describe (max 8 mins at 640 30fps on a one gig card).
Camera shake[-2]##you can set the optical zoom before shooting and than while sh
ooting video adjust a digital zoom in and out however due to the cameras light w
eight Camera shake is a problem to contend with.
Audio[+1]##Audio is mono and fairly acceptable, quiet also with little distortio
ns.
##I have been fairly impressed with its ability to capture decent details in low
light situations such as theaters, inside a bus at night ect
battery[+1]##The battery life is not that of the Casio's but its good and your g
oing to get better pictures in my opionion with the battery life youve got.
##If you use the LCD wisely and dont use it as a TV screen to show all your budd
ys the girl you went on a date with last night, you should be able to get plenty
 of shots in on a charge, I have only seen the warning light once, and that was
after a week of daily occasional to medium duty use.

le with its autofocus on a few occasional pictures, especially quick candid shot
s where you start up and shot as quick as you can.

echnical work of taking a photo i really miss having manual controls.
