A My names Gza Kovcs. I come from Hungary. Im Hungarian. I live in a small town,
Mtszalka with a population of about 20 000. It is situated in the North-Eastern part of Hungary, in
Szabolcs-Szatmr-Bereg county. The county town of my county is Nyregyhza.
I was born on 21 st April 1985 in Mtszalka.
Im tall. Im about 185 centimetres tall. Im a little bit overweight, I weigh 90 kilogrammes. Im
said to be handsome and intelligent . I have got short, straight, dark brown hair and blue eyes.
I think I take after my mother, but I have got my fathers personality, because I m as reticent as
him. Although Im fond of moving in society, I find it difficult to make friends. Im very glad that
people find me reliable and helpful. To tell the truth I lose my temper quite easily, but Im not
unforgiving.
In my early childhood first I went to day nursery and from the age of 3 to the age of 6 to nursery
school.
From 7 to 10 I attended the junior section, then from 11 to 14 the senior section at a local primary
school. After finishing my studies at the elementary school I applied for admission to the
Mathematics section of the grammar school named after Esze Tams in Mtszalka, where luckily I
was admitted.
Im a fourth-form student now, so Im a school - leaver. I can tell you that I do very well at school
and can cope with the difficulties. Im hard-working and ambitious, I try to do my best in my
studies.. Im extremely proud of that my annual school-report is excellent from year to year. My
favourite subjects are science subjects, I especially show great interest in studying Maths. I must
admit that arts subjects are not to my taste and my weak point is History. Two foreign languages are
taught to every student at my school. As for me, I learn English and German. I take pleasure in
studying English, but frankly to say Im not too keen on learning German.
I would like to go on to higher education, but first I have to take my school-leaving exam. Before
you get your general certificate of secondary education, you have to pass a written exam in
Hungarian grammar and literature and Maths and an oral one in Hungarian grammar and literature,
History and an optional subject. You also have to take a written and an oral exam in a chosen
foreign language unless you have a C - type language examination certificate at intermediate
level.
After leaving the secondary grammar school I want to apply for admission to the University of
Economics in Budapest. I hope my efforts will be crowned with success and I will be admitted. It
wont be easy, because a difficult entrance exam needs to be passed, which consists of a written and
an oral exam. I have made up my mind that I will do my best to fulfil the requirements if I am
accepted.
I ve set myself the task to qualify as an economist, but before getting my degree I have to prepare
my dissertation and take the state examination. After graduating from the university I would like to
take up my career at a prosperous company, which provides a secure job for a long time.
B My full name is Nra Nagy. Im from Hungary. My nationality is Hungarian. I live in a medium-
sized village, Kocsord with a population of 3800. It is situated in the North-East of Hungary in
Szabolcs-Szatmr-Bereg county. The county seat of my county is Nyregyhza.
I was born on 2 nd May, 1983 in Mtszalka. I m of medium height, Im 165 centimetres tall. Im
said to be pretty and attractive. I have got shoulder-length, wavy, blonde hair and greenish-blue
eyes.
Though I take after my father, I have got my mothers personality because Im as talkative and
friendly as she. Im sociable, I love making friends with people. I have a cheerful temperament, but
I must admit that sometimes Im moody and obstinate. My friends say that I have a good sense of
humour.
I didnt go to day nursery because my mother stayed at home on maternity leave for three years to
look after me. From 3 to 6 I went to kindergarten. My parents had me registered at elementary
school when I was seven years old. First I went to the junior section for four years and then to the
senior section from 11 to 14. After leaving the primary school I applied for admission to the local
secondary technical school, where fortunately I was accepted. I was diligent and endeavoured to do
my utmost. As a result of my persistence I made good progress at school, my annual school report
was excellent year by year. I preferred arts subjects to science subjects. I adored studying languages,
but my favourite subject was History. Therefore having received the general certificate of secondary
education I decided to apply for admission to the University of Law in Szeged.
a.) To my great pleasure I gained admission to the university at the first attempt, so Im a
second-year student now. I read criminal law.
b.) I was really sorry to be informed that I was rejected, but I didnt give it up. The following
year I tried to be admitted again, to my great satisfaction with success. Now Im a first-year student,
I learn civil law.
I do everything possible at the university because Ive resolved to qualify as a lawyer.It will be
rather difficult to achieve my purpose because before getting my degree Im supposed to prepare an
extended essay and to take a state examination.
After graduating from university I would like to take up a job as a lawyer at the local court.
