Production and price rates of crops in kuttanadu

during 2011 - 2015

ABSTRACT
In this article, it is done to find out the production rate and price rate of crops

in Kuttanadu region. It is an analysis made to understand the variation in the

production rate and price rate of crops and also to enquire and understand the

change in price rate and production rate occour suddenly without maintaining the

stability in rate of production and price

Mathematics plays a critical role in our efforts to understand the nature of the

physical universe and in the continuing development of our technological society.

Mathematics is a science dealing with the logic of quantity, shape and

arrangement. There is also a long tradition that recognizes the values of

mathematics for its aesthetic appeal to the human spirit. Mathematics is the

deductive study of numbers, geometry and various abstract constructs or structure

the latter often abstract the features common to several mode is derived from the

empirical or applied science. . Neglect of mathematics work injury to all

knowledge. One who is ignorant of mathematics cannot know other things of the

world. In this modern age of science and technology emphasis is given on science
such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Medicine and Engineering. Mathematics is a

science of all science and art of all arts.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

1. To find out the production rates of crops during 2011 2015.

2. To compare the production rates of different crops.

3. To find out the price rates of crops during 2011 2015.

4. To compare the price rates of different crops.

5. To find out the more and less produced crop.

Scope of the Production rate and price rate of each crops and its profit & loss

in each years is calculated and also find out the variation in the production rate &

price rates of crops in kuttanadu. Methodology for the study was survey method.

The survey method gathers quantitative data on those thoughts, feelings and

behaviours. In survey method asks a representative sample of people the same

questions about particular attitudes, options, values and beliefs.

Population and sample selected for the present study involves Alappuzha

district and sample for the study involve Kuttanadu Taluk.

Each and every type of research need a question tools to gather information

from people. Surveys or Questionnaire are used for collecting data in survey

research.
The production rate and price rate of various crops cultivated in Kuttanadu

such as paddy, vegetables, coconut, banana etc during the last five years was

collected from the Agricultural office. For this officer in charge Mrs. Annie

Mathew had given me her sincere help and co-operation.

It is done to find out the production rate and price rate of crops in Kuttanadu

region. The project is an analysis made to understand the variations in the

production rate and price rate of crops. The need and significance of this study

being farmers are faced with the challenge of producing sufficient crops to meet

growing consumer demand while maintaining the quality and quantity of resources

for future generation. In kuttanadu region many crops should have seen they are

paddy, coconut, vegetable and banana. The study aims to understand which

product has attained the highest production and price rate and also to identify the

variations in these rates. The price of crops bought by the farmers in Kuttanadu and

the year in which the variation in production and price rate of crops is also

analysed through the study.

The limitations of the study is the time for the study was limited. The study

should have been done by collecting the details of some more years. The number

of crops were also low.

In many suggestions for this study that are the production of crops should be

increased. The season wise calculation of the crops production and price should be
made. More areas should have been selected for further details of the study. The

number of crops should have been increased. The export rate of crops should also

have been taken for the study.

The analysis of data is a process of expecting, clearing, transforming and

modeling data with the goal of highlighting useful information. The data should

have been collected with the techniques of analysis and presentation of analysis

and presentation in mind. The data is collected with the help of production price

rates of crops in Kuttanad during 2011 2015. There are 4 types of graphical

representation of crops in production and price rate.

CONCLUSION
From the study it can be understood that the production rate of fine crops

cultivated in Kuttanadu region such as paddy, vegetables, coconut, banana is from

the decreasing order to increasing order. The production rate of all crops is low in

2011 and high in 2015. In the same way the price rate of crops occurs from the

decreasing order to increasing order. The price rate is lower in 2011 and high in

2015.In the same way the price rate of crops occours from the decreasing order to

increasing order. The price rate is lower in 2011 and high in 2015. The production

rate and price rate of paddy showed high variation during the last three years. The

production rate of banana showed fixed rate in the year 2011-2015. There were no

much variation in the price rate all the crops.

A conclusion is the last part of something its end or result. Major findings of

the study is

1. There is a big variation in rate of production during some years.

2. There is no much variation in the price rate of crops.

3. There is an increase in Production rate throughout the year.

4. The price rate increase throughout the year.

5. It was found that the production rate & price of crops were varying

throughout the years.
