Ecosystem: Taiga

Average Temperature:The average temperature is 32*F. The average for

the summer is 21*F. The average for the winter is 51*F. The highest
temperature ever in a taiga is 104*F.

Average Annual Precipitation:The annual precipitation is 12-33 inches,

with most of it falling in the summer as rain.

Interesting facts:The taigas melting glaciers give fresh water to 40% of

people!

Geosphere ( rocks, soil, ground) information:Soil type:Spodosol (tends to

be poor in nutrients and can be acidic)

Biosphere( Living things) information: The black bear, lynx, otter, fox,
wolverine, and bobcat can be found in this biome. It has animals very
similar to the deciduous forest biome. All cedar, spruce, birch, pine, fir,
and and poplar trees can be found here.
Hydrosphere(water) information:The biggest source of water is the
glaciers that are melting constantly. Old glaciers have made streams and
lakes.
