Statement of Purpose

1. Please describe your career goals.

My long term goal is to become a manager in one of the leading multinational

company.However,as far as my short term goals are concerned ,I want to acquaint myself
with all the perfection and skills that might be required at my workplace.Currently, my
goal is to get admission in one of the top business schools of the country because I
believe that it is the fulfillment of short term goals that leads to accomplishment of
long term goals.Hence,first of all my goal is to pursue MBA from a leading business school
of the country and thereafter I would like to work with an organisation where there are
ample number of opportunities to grow.

2. Please describe the most significant challenge you have faced so far. How did you resolve it?
What did you learn?

I faced a challenge during my college days.I was a bright student since schooldays and
was not a kind of extrovert.So, when I reached my undergrad I avoided being involved with
the other students studying with me.I used to avoid being in group and gossiping about
irrelevant stuff because I thought it was a complete waste of time.However, later on this
habit started costing me a lot.My relation with my colleagues were not good and I did not
had good friends too.Hence I decided to improve this situation.I started talking and
greeting everybody I met.I started respecting everyone.I consistently worked out on
myself.Gradually, relations started improving and I was a good friend of all.However,it
was not that easy.Rebuilding of relationships is quite difficult as compared to
maintaining them.

3. Please explain your objectives and goals as they relate to pursuing MBA at IIT Madras.
Also describe what you think other students may learn from you ?

Being a graduate in science, I have a good level of numerical and analytical skills.I
seldom lose hope and I am always ready to face new challenges.These are the few qualities
which others students can learn from me. I chose IIT Madras to pursue MBA because of
various reasons.Few of the important reasons are the ample number of options it provides
in specialisations, its student exchange program, awesome salary packages and last but not
the least the brand IIT.While pursuing MBA, my objectives will be to enhance my
knowledge and skills so that I am fit for the job that I will perform in future.After MBA
, I want to pursue my career as a manager in a multinational company.I think IIT Madras is
a perfect place to get my dreams come true.
