Whereas, there are number o f posts o f Assistant Engi eers(E1ectrical) lying
per the Jammu and
Kashmir Engineering (Gazetted) Services Recruitment Rules which ipulates as under:-
1. 20% by Direct Recruitmentfrom persons possessing achelor's drgree in
the relevant brurich of engineering or AMIE section (A&B) India in the
appropriate bran~.hof engjneering.

2. 60% by proniotionfrom junior engineers having BE gree in engineering
o r eqz~ivaientquolifica~ionwith alleast 3 years servic as junior engineer.
3. 20% by promotianfrom junior engineers havirig a in engineeririg or
equivalent qualification from a recognized the disciphrie in
which appoinlnienl is to be made having a1 service as junior
engineer.

Whereas, in terms of above method o f Recruitment, t posts Palling under

requircd to be filled up as per the following manner.-

Whereas. the final seniority list o f J.E (Electrical) & Diploma

Holders] was issued vide Government Order No.3 14-PDD o f 2007

Whereas, an exercise i s being made for updating t e seniority o f Junior
Engineers (Electric) Degree / Diploma holders issued vide Gove nment Order No.3 13-
PDD o f 2007 dated. 23- 10-2007 and some posts havc bcen kept as cushion so that it' any
o f the eligible J.E whose name does not exist in the seniority list i ued in 2007 or due to
some other reasons and comes in the consideration zone for pla ement as AE shall be
considered on his merit in the updated seniority list o f JE Degree ploma holders.

Whereas, Ishrat Bashir (JE) and Sheikh Sabiya who are figuring in the
final seniorit? l i s t o f Junior Engineers as diploma holders No. 258/201? seeking
directions from Hon'ble High Court for inclusion o f their the seniority list o f JE
(Degree) Holders on the ground that they liad applied as for the post o f JE
but have been shown selected by the SSRB on the basis
