INTJs live a world of concepts and ideas. They value intelligence and knowledge. They
focus their energy on observing the world around them and designing solutions and
possibilities in their head. They constantly process information and make associations.
Because their mind is so active, they generally understand new topics very quickly. They
make excellent scientists as they are not just interested in understanding concepts but also
in applying concepts in a useful way.

They have a tremendous amount of ability to accomplish great things: most INTJs are
highly competent and do not have a problem meeting their career or education goals. They
see the big picture and can easily synthesize their concepts into logical plans of action.

INTJs are natural leaders but they will most of the time wait for the moment when there is a
real need for a leader to take over this role. They are effective and very good at seeing the
situation objectively. They have outstanding strategic skills because they are able to scan
all available possibilities and spotting the best ones. They value clarity and efficiency: their
main interest in dealing with the world is to make decisions and express opinions.

INTJs often have a difficult time trying to translate their thoughts to others and must find
indirect ways to express their thoughts and findings. As they have a high confidence in
themselves, they will most of the time blame misunderstandings on the limitations of the
other party rather than their own difficulty in expressing themselves.

INTJs can be perceived as arrogant and elitist because they are ambitious and not very
expressive. But that does not mean INTJs do not have affection for others, they just do not
feel the need to express it.
