To whom this may concern:

I am pleased to write this letter on behalf of Daniel Magana. Daniel has attended NOVA
Academy Early College High School for the past 4 years. I have had the pleasure of having
Daniel as my student for the past 4 years. I have had Daniel in a variety of courses which she has
been able to exemplify leadership skills, concern for other, intellectual curiosity, and maturity.
Over the past four years Daniel has exhibited leadership skills through his participation in
ASB. Daniel is one of the members of ASB that has been there the longest. Through his work on
ASB he has put on dances, fundraising events, and spirit events for the whole school. As a senior
on ASB he is a committee leader, and was in charge of a small group of his peers to make sure
that his spirit day during Spirit Week was organized and ran without a flaw. Not only is Daniel in
ASB, but he also runs the schools AV program. Through this, Daniel is in charge of running any
AV needs for ASB, or other events that admin may require. Because he is currently the only one
capable of doing so, Daniel is also now in charge of mentoring and teaching the underclassmen
how to run the AV system so that they may take on this task once he graduates.
Daniel has demonstrated his concern for other through his friendships at school, and his
vast amount of community service. Daniel has completed over 170 hours of community service
in a variety of ways. Daniel volunteers his time at El Sol Science & Arts Academy, here in down-
town Santa Ana. With his time at El Sol, Daniel volunteers in the classrooms and the front office.
He tutors students, and helps teachers as they need help. Daniel is always willing to lend a help-
ing hand, not only at El Sol, but also here at NOVA Academy.
This year in my AP Government and Politics course he has demonstrated a great deal of
intellectual curiosity. Daniels study skills and work habits have always been top notch and have
only improved over the course of the semester. In the occasion that Daniel needs help, he is never
afraid to ask for it. He has taken several college level courses at the local community college, and
always done well in those. Additionally, Daniel is currently taking a course offered on our campus
by Concordia University. Daniel is not afraid to challenge himself academically.
As a person, Daniel is a kind, generous, and hardworking. I am confident that Daniel will
make a great addition to any organization. I am very proud of his perseverance and dedication to
excellence.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.

Sincerely,
Rashi Seth
