DESCRIPTION:
A wide variety of exciting activities await the public in the 13th PASINAYA
OPEN HOUSE FESTIVAL 2017: PALABAS AT PALIHAN; the largest annual
multi-arts festival in the country with more than 300 shows in music, theater,
dance, visual arts, film, and literature to choose from and more than 50,000
viewers. Taking as its theme ARTS FOR PEACE, the festival which will be
held at the CCP and various museums and galleries in the city will feature
excerpts from the works of over a hundred arts groups and thousands of
artists from around the country.
Palihan (Workshop-All-You-Can)
Pasinaya 2017 introduces an additional day of workshops in various arts
forms for all ages that cater to varied interests in the Palihan (Workshop-AllYou-Can) on February 4 (9:00AM to 3:00PM). Children, youth and adults can
choose from more than forty (40) short workshops in music, theater, dance,
visual arts, crafts and hobbies conducted by leading artists and companies. It
will also feature an Arts Market where audiences can pre-register for the
Summer Arts workshops. Experience introductory hands-on sessions that
stimulate creativity and unleash your inner artist!

Palabas
During the Palabas component of the festival on February 5 (8:00AM to
6:00PM), the public will be treated to previews of the forthcoming season
productions of the CCP and its resident companies - Ballet Philippines,
Bayanihan Philippine National Folk Dance Company, National Music
Competitions for Young Artists (NAMCYA), UST Symphony Orchestra,
Philippine Ballet Theatre, Philippine Madrigal Singers, Philippine Philharmonic
Orchestra, Ramon Obusan Folkloric Group, Tanghalang Pilipino and the UST

Symphony Orchestra. There will be performances by artists from all over the
country in dance, music and theater as well as art exhibits, film showings,
food booths and tiangge, making the CCP the happiest place on Earth that
weekend.

Museums, Galleries and other Cultural Venues
Once more, our partner museums and galleries (Metropolitan Museum of
Manila, Museo Marino, National Museum: National Museum of Fine Arts and
National Museum of Anthropology, Bahay Tsinoy, Casa Manila, NCCA Gallery,
Museo Pambata, UP Manila Museum of a History of Ideas, Cinematheque
Manila, and 1335 Mabini) will also be open to the public as audiences will be
transported using the hop-on-hop-off vans provided by the FDCP. There will
be thirty (30) vans that will go around the said museums, galleries and the
CCP Complex to transport the audiences. Cultural venues such as the DLSU
Museum, GSIS Museum, Galleria Duemila, Avellana Gallery,

Collaboratory, Hub Make Lab and the Pandancan community join the 2017
edition of Pasinaya bringing the number of partner venues to eighteen (18).
