Attorney General Brnovich Announces $800,000
Settlement with Diamond Resorts.

The Sword of Justice is drawing nearer for the international holiday

ownership company known as Diamond Resorts International.
On the 23rd of December 2016 US Attorney General Mark Brnovich
released a statement, in which he explained that the state of Arizona has
come to an agreement in regards to a settlement with Diamond Resorts
Corporation.
This could prove to be a landmark case in the Timeshare industry, with
complaints and allegations coming from all corners of the Diamond
Empire, including but not limited too; Selling as an investment
opportunity, complaints of using deceptive sales practices, verbal
misrepresentation etc.
The state also claimed that there has been gross misrepresentation
regarding the way in which maintenance charges will rise and the
indication that they will only rise at a minimal rate.
Now, whilst Diamond have agreed to this settlement and promised to
install new relinquishments programmes in the US, they still deny that
they have violated The Arizona Credit Fraud Act. They claim that this
agreement is merely for the sole purposes of efficient resolution of the
matter which is slightly strange as they have also set aside $800,000.00.
Of which $650,000.00 is for customer restitution.
