The itinerary below is the result of our efforts. Anyone who
has
ever wanted to see Panama, understand Panama, experience
Panamas
first hand while enjoying first class accommodations and
strictly Kosher delicious foods will not want to miss this.

Itinerary
Day 1 Sunday: Tocumen international airport Arrival
Arrive in Panama city, there we will be transfered with a private bus to
The Golden Tower Hotel for an upgraded luxurious and relaxing suite in
Panama City.
After settling in, we will go to the capitals must-see locations.
We will proceed to the Casco Antigo; a colonial area that is the second
oldest city of Panama, which is distinguished by its unique architecture
with Spanish and French influence. We will visit the Plaza de Francia,
Paseo Esteban Huertas, the Plaza Bolvar, Plaza de la Catedral, Altar de
Oro, and parks and other attractions in the area. Then, we will continue
with a panoramic tour of our Amador Causeway and its group of island.
At night, we will have welcome Dinner at Kosher restaurant.

Day 2 Monday: El Valle de Antn (The Anton Valley)

After being picked up by your guide early in the morning, we will be
driven for an hour and a half to the magical Anton Valley. A village which
has an excellent climate, surrounded by a tropical rainforest with great
diversity of flora and fauna. El Valle de Anton occupies the largest
inhabited volcano crater in the world. This quiet town is a popular
weekend getaway, with beautiful trails for hiking and bird watching.
Once there well visit the crafts market, which has a diverse offering of
flowers, fruits, and vegetables, as well as crafts handmade by the
villagers themselves. We will also enjoy a walk through the rainforest for
a visit to the El Chorro Macho Waterfall (The Male Waterfall), a
spectacular 35-meter waterfall with a natural lagoon at its base. No trip
to El Valle would be complete without a visit to the Butterfly Haven;
come and immerse yourself in the beauty and tranquility of many
hundreds of living, jewel colored butterflies. Stroll through the screened
tropical exhibit house and grounds and learn about these amazing
creatures.
After El Valle, well will be taken back to the hotel to get ready for dinner
at a local Kosher restaurant.
For those who wish to visit some place in the night, there will be a
private-bus waiting at the hotel for any optional tours.

Day 3 Tuesday: San Lorenzo Fort

Today well begin our day with a journey from Panama City to Colon on
the historical train built in 1880 by a French company which was building
the Panama Canal. The train journey takes about 1 hour, taking you to
Colon, going through the jungle, the Soberania National Park and along
the Panama Canal. In our tour of Portobelo, you can see the cannons
that still show the importance of defense. Well will visit all the ruins of
the colonial port, the customs office where the treasures were stored.
Fort San Lorenzo, in the province of Colon, is one of the most ancient
Spanish fortresses in America. The way to San Lorenzo goes through the
Panama Canal's Gatun Locks and offers views of Fort Sherman, a former
military base surrounded by thick jungle, rich in biodiversity. This is one
of the nicest ancient fortress you will ever experience!
After returning from San Lorenzo Fort, well take you to meet the biggest
mall in Panama city where you will have an adventurous shopping time!

Day 4 Wednesday: Cruise by the Gatun Lake, Cableway and

Ecological exhibitions
This is an exciting Panama Canal tour which allows us to cruise past lush
rainforests to a secluded region of the lake and witness first-hand the
splendor and excitement of the jungle. Together with our professional
tour guides, well slowly cruise the back channels, island and bays that
make up the unique ecosystem of Gatun Lake, where you will discover
many of the wildlife in their natural habitat as well as the residents of
the area. Cameras are a must as this is considered the worlds premier
location for viewing monkeys in the wild

Day 5 Thursday: Isla Grande beach

Today we will meet the crystal waters of Isla grande beach. Palm trees
and white-sand beaches form the backdrop to this lovely little island, just
15km from Portobelo. A popular getaway for Panama City folk fleeing the
urban grind, Isla Grande is an ideal setting for snorkeling, scuba diving
or simply soaking up the islands relaxed vibe. There are no roads, just a
path along the eastern island perimeter. A few hundred people of African
descent live on Grande, most of whom eke out a living from fishing and
coconuts youll get a taste of both when you sample the fine island
cuisine!

Day 6 Friday (Shabbat): Panama Canal visit & Shopping

After breakfast at the hotel, well travel to the famous Panama Canal,
driving through the French quarter along the way. The Panama Canal has
many interesting surrounding landmarks. Youll have time to capture
various pictures of the canal itself, as well as of the famous Panama
Canal Locks. If possible, the schedule will be accommodated to allow you
to watch vessels as they travel through the Miraflores Locks, one of the
canals other lock systems. Your tour also includes admission to the
Panama Canal Visitors Center. After eating lunch at kosher restaurant,
well be transferred to Multiplaza mall, a beautiful luxurious comercial
center. At 4:00PM we will be back at the hotel to get ready for Shabbat.

Day 7 Saturday: Shabat - Casco Antiguo

Well pray Shajarit at Ahavat Tzion synagogue. Next well eat lunch at
the hotel, we will hear some words by an old community member about
the Foundation of the Panamanian Jewish Community and its sisterhood.
After Shabbat at 6:45PM well have a farewell dinner at kosher
restaurant.
Next well be headed to Casco Antiguo village, there you will have a walk
and experience the villages nightlife, listen to music and have a relaxed
enjoyable final night in Panama city!

Day 8 Sunday: Transfer to the Airport back home.

After eating breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred with a private
bus to Tocumen International Airport for the flight back home
