Communication is the process of giving information or of making emoticons

or ideas known to someone, whereas message is a piece of written or spoken
information that you send to someone, especially when you cannot speak to
them directly.
How do dolphins communicate? Dolphins, like most underwater animals,
communicate through sounds. As for the honeybees, their dance movement is a
unique example of how they communicate.
A lady in an office, sitting in front of her computer screen, is reading an
email from her client in Japan.. They are communicating with each other via email
using the internet. A memo is left on the wall to tell a friend that one has to leave
and will call back later. This is another example of communication.
