LESSON PLAN HPE1202


LESSON ORGANISATION

(based on Australian Curriculum: Health & Physical Education)

Intention: By the end of the session students will have been allocated their SEPEP roles for the upcoming carnival and have an
understanding on how to use their app effectively.
Pre-lesson organisation: (24 students)

Ensure their is an iPad for each student and all the appropriate apps are installed
Ensure iPads are fully charged
For this lesson a class will be needed
Ensure computer is hooked up the the projector
Have a variety of roles ripped up and paced in a hat
Equipment:
- 24x iPads
- Classroom
- - 3x whiteboard markers

Learning Area Outcomes: Year 10 Touch Rugby SEPEP Program.

Beginning class organisation:


- Bring class into the classroom and have them take a seat
- Gain the class attention

Getting Into Teams:


1. After analysing their skills over the
first 4 week the teacher can make 3
even teams
2. Place the 3 teams up on the
projector screen
3. Allow students the rearrange the
desks and get into to their teams
4. Give students a few minutes to
come up with a team name

- Nominate 1 student from each team come up to the board

Week 5- Role Assignment

Allocating Roles:
1. Have a variety of roles printed out
on paper and tear them up
individually and place them in a hat
2. Ask the 3 students that were
nominated to come up to the board
to write down all the names of the
people in their team
3. Have students coem up and pick
their roles out of a hat
4. Repeat until each student has a
role

Bridging organisation
- Have each of the nominated students bring an iPad for each student back to their teams
- Allow students to login into their iPads
- Gain the students attention
- Take note of which iPad all the students have

1. Each specific role will have their
own app to utilise
2. Students will be given 25-30
minutes to understand their role
and work with their apps

Closing Organisation:
- Have students bring their iPads back to the front of the class
- Close lesson by announcing which teams will be playing in Round 1
