General
As an extension to its range of drives,
LEROY-SOMER offers users a range of
four large families of pumps which integrate
the most recent European standards and
respond to DOMESTIC, DRILLING and
INDUSTRIAL needs.

WARNING :
Unlike flow rates, output pressures cannot
be calculated. For two sprinklers which
each need 1.5 bar simultaneously, the
output pressure will always be 1.5 bar.

LOAD LOSS
Any liquid carried inside a pipe is subject to
stresses and friction called "load loss". This
load loss is measured in metres of head of
water (MHW) and is associated with the
cross-section of the pipe, the flow rate and
the water temperature.
WARNING :
Load loss is a very important factor. It is
advisable to avoid using pipes which are
too long and which have a narrow diameter.
Note that scaling can occur in old pipes.
Choice of pipes
Use the following table to establish the size
of the pipe in relation to the flow rate.

SELECTION RECOMMENDATIONS
The curves and the tables indicate the
operating range of electropumps.
It is always advisible:
- not to use the pumps at their minimum
flow rate. This could lead to the motor
becoming overheated.
- to align the usage point with the nominal
operating point of the electropump : the
value in grey in the table corresponds to the
characteristics of the pump at its maximum
efficiency.
