Description of how to implement in the class: Computer will be needed and a projection screen.
Individual computers and laptops will be used to play games or take the quiz. This lesson will
mainly be taught as whole group, and will be teacher-led. Activity will be introduced by asking
students what they know about American Indians. After a discussion about what they know and
where they settled the teacher will play a video and students will listen intently. Student learning
will be assessed at the end of the video by having a discussion on why the American Indians settled
in North America. This assessment data will be used to inform/differentiate instruction by
allowing the teacher to analyze which activity works the best with certain students.
