Objectives:

Create and edit a worksheet using MS Excel 2010


Insert cell content
Format cell and cell content
Modify Spreadsheet
Insert formulas and function

Instructions:

Open your workbook with the filename [YourFamilyName,Initial] Excel Activities


Select and rename Sheet2 into Activity 1
Select cell A1 and type Name:
Select cells B1 to E1 and apply bottom border (Home Tab, Font Group)
Select cell F1 and type Instructor:
Select cells G1 to J1 and apply bottom border (Home Tab, Font Group)
Select cell A2 and type Subject:
Select cells B2 to E2 and apply bottom border (Home Tab, Font Group)
Select cell A4 and Type PRELIM
Select cells A4 to J4 and click on MERGE and CENTER command (Home Tab, Alignment
Group) Align the merged cell to the left
Input the following text on the cells given:
A5 Quiz No.
B5 HPS
C5 Score
D5 Ass. No.
E5 - HPS
F5 Score
G5 Major Exam (40%)
I5 Prelim Grade

In cells A6 to A10 input numbers 1 to 5. Do the same in cells D6 to

D10
Input the following text on the cells given:

G8 EQ. Grade
I6 Raw Score

Select cells G10 and H10, click on MERGE and CENTER command and type Summative
Ass (60%)
Select cells A4 to J11 and apply All Borders command (Home Tab, Font Group)
Type in the following formulas on the specified cells given below:

=SUM(C6:C10)
=SUM(E6:E10)
=SUM(F6:F10)

Merge the cells I7 and I8 and type the formula =(H8*40%)+(H11*60%)


Merge the cells J7 and J8 and type the formula

Apply cells formatting as shown in the sample output (Cell and Text Color).
Copies cells A4 to J11 and paste it below prelim table. Change the all the word PRELIM in
the copied cell and change it into MIDTERM. Do the same for SEMI-FINAL and FINAL.

Input data on the blank cells to get your grades and test your formulas. (Use your Test
Results for the Prelim and Midterm that was returned to you)
Save your workbook in your flash drive as [YourFamilyName,Initial] Excel Activities.

Objectives:

Instructions:

Open your workbook with the filename [YourFamilyName,Initial] Excel Activities


Select Sheet3 and rename it as Activity 2
Copy the data, formatting and modification as shown in the sample output below.
For the ABC HOTEL RESERVATION text: use AR JULIAN font style, size 72
The same font style is used in the GUEST INFORMATION, ROOM INFORMATION, AND
BILLING STATEMENT, font size will be 14.
For the remaining text in the cells use Arial font style size 11
For the No. of Person column in the Billing Statement create a formula that automatically
calculates the total no. of person (adult and children) from the Room Information table
For the Deposit, create a formula that would get 50% of the Rate
For the No. of Days, create a formula that automatically gets the total number of stays
based on the Check In and Check Out Date information from the Room Information table
And for the Total Amount, create a formula that would automatically calculate the total
amount to be paid by the guest. To get the Total Amount multiply the Rate by the No. of
Days stayed plus the Additional Payment minus the Deposit.
