I do not think that Adam could imagine that it ended exactly this way, but let's try

to untangle everything in this situation and identify the main torts.

Before it all went wrong, Adam committed the battery rubbing Beulah`s arm as it
was unconsented and probably unpleasant contact.
The unfortunate chunk of pizza on the shoulder of BillyBob became the main
personage of the battery. As we know, battery torts include actual contact which
may be represented as intentional unconsented harmful or offensive contact with a
person. In this situation, we can guess that BilyBob did not give permission to
place a chunk of pizza on his shoulder. As for Adam, he did it truly intentionally.
BilyBob`s friend Bozo did not like the vagary of Adam and was liable for the
assault. The act of throwing the bottle was intentional. Bozo understood that could
harm Adam. Both Adam and Patsy Cline can sue for assault.
Pieces of broken bottle landed on Clyde`s food could not be regarded as assault
because Patsy Cline had no intention to spoil the food or harm the health of Clyde.
However, Clyde`s remarks about the personality of Adam were offensive and could
be considered slander (wordy defamation).
Adam`s intention to spit at Clyde is an example of battery as spitting on an
individual doesn't physically injure them, but it nonetheless can constitute
offensive contact sufficient for a battery.
To sum up, this chain of events clearly illustrates that people should be careful with
their actions, think about the consequences and indeed to think first and only then
act.
