TIMELINE FOLLOWED -:

First of all , all of us went through the products which are being sold
by to cure the AIDS patients , its constituents and its listed benefits.
Then we found out and did some more research on the success
stories of people who have brought and got benefited from the
products of.
We then obtained the list of doctors from the company , who could
be the prospects for this medicine. We did a small research on their
profiles.
We Went and discussed with the doctors and medicine shops about
the product -: We formed a team of 2 and contacted the list of
surgeons provided by the company asking them general questions
regarding the medicine and the ailment.
Two of our teammates went to general medicine shops enquiring
about the product and its acquaintance by the general public across
Pune.
Then finally we noted down all the observations , compiled it
together and prepared a report.
Lastly, we have stated our recommendations to the company for
promoting its brands in pune.

SURVEY AND QUESTIONNAIRE

We prepared a questionnaire which we asked with the pharmaceuticals .
following is the questionnaire. The research was primarily conducted in
areas of Baner and Pimpri Chincchwad in Pune. Almost all of them had no
idea regarding both the products and they did not stock any AIDS
medicines with them with the biggest reason was that all the AIDS
patients get treated in government hospitals and they get medicines from
hospitals itself.
There is a widespread demand for ayurvedic products and the best selling
green tea brand is organic india.

CHALLENGES AND LIMITATIONS

1) AWARENESS IN THE PUBLIC -: Nellicam is medicine made out of
herbal products for the treatment of AIDS and there is a lack of
awareness in the public regarding the disease and its effective cure.
2) HEAVY DEPENDENCE ON GOVERNMENT HOSPITALS AND SUBSIDISED
MEDICINES -: Based on the interactions with many pharmaceutical
shops across the city , we found out was that almost all the AIDS
patients get their treatments from government hospitals located in
and around the city , and the medicines they obtain are government
subsidised medicines from authorised medical shops of that
government hospital .
3) LIMITED SUPPLIERS AND DOCTORS -: As a lot of medicines are not
available for the cure of this disease, there are very less number of
doctors and pharmacists available for it. So its widespread
distribution to pharmacists is quite difficult.
4) MINDSET OF PEOPLE TOWARDS WESTERN MEDICINES -: The
ethnocentric and medicocentric tendencies of the Western hegemonic
mentality that are usually paraded by most stakeholders in modern
medicine remains a very serious challenge. With respect to serious cases
like that of AIDS , people will alsways go for costly western medicines as
they have got this mindset that treatment to complex ailments like this
can be treated only through western allopathy medicines . So its difficult
to have a penetration of herbal product medicine for this.

5) HERBAL MEDICINES EFFECT IN THE UNITED STATES -: Reports that

some herbal medicines are contaminated, toxic or interfere with the
metabolism of drugs used to treat cancer or AIDS has reduced the
enthusiasm of United Sates consumers for herbal medicines. As a result,
the sale of herbal products in United States has reduced in the last two
years which can make aware citizens of the country a bit susceptible
towars the product usage.

6) LACK OF ADVERTISEMENTS AND RELATED DATA ON THE WEB -: The

public now seeks more authoritative sources of information in that
country, and credible compendia and data on web sites are available.
These products are not well advertised on the internet as well as local
media . So less awareness exists amongst the people
