The objectives of the course are to:


1. provide an overall understanding of the factors influencing the
business environment.
2. provide an insight into the political, social, demographic, technology,
information and legal environment contexts within which a business
organization operates.
3. increase awareness and sensitivity to the dynamic business
environment in making informed business decisions.
4. encourage students to do investigations on the operation of business
organizations in relation to local, national and global environment.
At the end of this course, students should be able to:
1. identify the elements that make up an organizations macro micro
and internal environments.
2. explain how the government affects the business organizations
3. outline how social and demographic changes affect business
organizations.
4. explain the diversity of technological impacts on business.
5. explain the key legal challenges and opportunities facing business
organizations, in respect to their relationships with customers, suppliers,
employees and intermediaries (stakeholders).
6. explain the diversity of organizational types and its objectives and
growth
7. explain how organizations manage their human resources, so that
they have a highly motivated workforce who are flexible to
environmental changes.

environment. The course explores the complexity of forces on the
