Silas Glazier This indenture made the twenty fourt [sic] day of May in the year of our
To Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty five Between Silas Glazier
Elsha [sic.] Glazier of the County of Oakland and Territory of Michigan and Electa Glazier
his wife of the first part and Elisha Glazier of the same place of the second part Witnesseth that the said
parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to them in hand paid
by the said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby confessed and acknowledged have
granted bargained sold remised released aliened and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain
sell remise release alien and confirm unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns
forever all that certain tract or p[arcel] of land situate lying and being in the County and Territory aforesaid
being the North half of the West half of the South west quarter of section [number cut off;
subsequent deeds would suggest Section 2] in township two North of Range Eleven east in the
district of Lands of[fer]ed for sale by the United States at Detroit which said piece of land containing
forty acres be the same more or less Together with all and singular the hereditaments and
appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversion and reversions
remainder and remainders re[nts] issues and profits thereof and all the estate right title interest claim and
demand whatsoever of the said party of the first part either in law or equity of in and to the above
bargained premises with the said hereditaments and appurtenances To have and to hold the said
premises above described to said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to the sole and only
p[roper] use benefit and behoof of the said party of the second part his heirs & ass[igns] forever And the
said party of the first part for themselves their heirs executors and administrators doth covenant bargain
and agree to and with the said party of [the] second part his heirs and assigns that at the time of the
ensealing and del[ivering] of these presents they are well seized of the premises above conveyed as of a
good perfect absolute and indefeasible estate of inheritance in the law in fee simple and that the above
bargained premises in the quiet and peaceable possession [of] the said party of the second part his heirs
& assigns against all and every per[son] or persons lawfully claiming or to claim the whole or any part
thereof they [will] forever Warrant and defend In witness whereof the party of the first part have hereunto
set their hands & seals the day and year first above written

Territory of Michigan } ss Be it remembered that on the twenty fourth day of May in the year of Our
County of Oakland } Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty five before me the undersigned a
Justice of the Peace in and for the County aforesaid came the wit[hin] named Silas Glazier to me known
to be the maker of the within instrument who acknowledged that he executed and delivered the same
freely and voluntarily for the uses and purposes therein expressed All which I certify according to the
Statute

Territory of Michigan } ss Be it remembered that on the ninth day of December in the year of our Lord
County of Oakland } one thousand eight hun[dred] and twenty six before me the undersigned a
Justice of the Peace in and for the County aforesaid came the within named Electa Glazier known to me
to be the wife of the above mentioned Silas Glazier she being by me privately examined separately and
apart from her said husband acknowledged that she severally signed sealed and delivered the same
freely and voluntarily without any fear or compulsion of or from her said husband or any other person all
which I certify acc[ording] to the Statue Received for Recording April 23d 1827 at 10 oclock AM
