ROCKET CONTEST

Materials and Methods

The materials we have used include:
Plastic 12 in. diameter parachute
Egg carton
Tape
Outer Tubing
Couplers

We had no safety concerns as we have not yet dealt with explosives. We have built a
prototype in which the parachute is attached to the egg carton. Although at the moment it is made
of tape, we will reinforce it later with stronger adhesive items. We will be attaching the egg
carton attached to the parachute into our rocket later. We have attached two of the tubes together
to have the minimum 65 centimeter requirement for our rocket to be in the contest.

By our next progress report, we are planning to have our nose cone prepared and attached to our

ROCKET CONTEST

rocket as well as our egg carton attached to the rocket as well. We are also hoping to have the
chance to attach the rocket motors at the very end of the rocket.
