CAUTIOH:
1.
General
Faults are dealt with on a probabi l ity basis and identified as
a result of testing.
The defect can be iso lated with the aid of trouble shooting
procedures <Ref. para.3.), and t raced thr ough If OK and If NOT
OK paths to the appropriate charts o r other specified
recti fica tio n action as may be necessary . lf a defect oceurs,
perform the appropriate rectification action, then r epeat the
operation at wh ic h th e defect was encountered to ensure that
the operation is OK.
Sracketed numbers in the procedures and charts indicate it e ms
on th e co~ponen t identification table (Ref. Table 101). The
table provides information, including component locatio n ,
required fo r rect i fication. Component lo cation also indicates
t he possible n ecessi ty of repositionin9 certain items of
ground service equipment. Each chart also specifies t he ground
equipment required for t hat particular task .
All procedures dealing vith t r o uble shoot i ng are based on the
assumption that electrical wir ing is serviceable, all
associated c i rc uit brea kers are set and e le ctrical power is
avai lable, un le ss otherwis stated. If the fault is not
rectified, check the wiring in accordance with th e Wiring
Diagram Manual (Ref. Ta ble 10 1).
The circuits for each engine ar e identical and all circuits
are connected to one fire cont r ol unit. Troub l e shooting
for No.1 engine is given and e quiva l ent re fe re n ces or idents.
