Re: Application for a Schengen Visa to travel to Italy, France, Netherlands, Spain & Czech
Republic.
I intend to travel with my wife for our 1st wedding anniversary to Italy, France,
Netherlands, Spain & Czech Republic as a tourist between XX/XX/XXXX to
XX/XX/XXXX and would therefore like to obtain a Short Term Schengen travel visa
for us.
Below is the break through itinerary for our trip and what we intend to pursue.
XX/XX/XXXX - Land in Paris, France. Spend three nights in Paris.
XX/XX/XXX - Travel to Amsterdam, Netherlands by Thalys train from Paris. Spend
two nights in Amsterdam.
XX/XX/XXXX - Travel by flight to Barcelona, Spain from Amsterdam. Spend three nights
in Barcelona.
XX/XX/XXXX - Travel by flight to Rome, Italy from Barcelona. Spend three nights in Rome,
Also Visit Holy See (Vatican City) during our stay in Rome.
XX/XX/XXXX - Travel to Venice, Italy by Train from Rome Via Pisa & Florence. Spend three
nights in Venice.
XX/XX/XXXXTravel by flight to Prague, Czech Republic from Venice. Spend two nights

In Prague.
XX/XX/XXXX- Flight back to India from Prague, Czech Republic.
Earlier our request for Type C Visa via reference number XXXX/XXXXX/XXXX had been denied
at the Italy Embassy, New Delhi on the grounds of insufficient means of finance but now my
father has volunteered to sponsor this trip as gift on our 1st wedding anniversary. I have made
our flight, Train and hotel bookings & my father is going to support our food & Sightseeing
expenses during our stay in Europe. I have attached copies of our documents along with this
covering letter as per the requirements posted for Schengen visa on VFS-Italy website for
Tourist visa.

Please find enclosed the following documents to support our visa application:
1. Fully completed and duly signed application form
2. Two photographs as per visa specifications.
3. Original and copy of our passports.

4. Copy of itinerary for our flight from New Delhi (DEL) to XXXXX & XXXXX to New Delhi
(DEL) from airline.

5. Copy of our hotel reservation booking at Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Rome,

Venice and Prague.
6. Copy of our travel medical insurance policy from XXXXXX, valid for the whole Schengen
Area and covering up to 30,000 for medical and hospital care plus repatriation for
emergency medical reasons.
7. Copy of our flight/train tickets for travel between Schengen member states.
8. Undertaking of financial support from my father along with 6 months bank statement&
Letter from bank, duly signed & stamped.
9. Documentary evidence of my employment and salary. Salary slips, Income Tax Returns
from past three years.
10. Form 16 for Past three years.
11. Leave letter from the current employer. This includes my date of joining once I am
back from the visit.
12. My latest 6 monthly bank statements, duly stamped & signed by Bank.
13. Copy of my credit card that we will also be using during our trip, along with the latest
statement showing credit limit.
14. Our Marriage certificate as proof of civil status.
15. Detailed Itinerary for all XX days which we plan to undertake during our stay in Europe.
