I will be presenting my research and subtopics to English I or II students. It

will be a prezi to show the timeline of which the young adult dystopian genre

has evolved, such as the elements commonly seen, styles that authors
prefer, and trends. Overall it will be based on having the student understand
how to analyze and dissect a book. My goal will be to have the students
recognize and critique elements within literature. My flier will be a dark
theme to represent the dystopian genre and will basically tell students that I
will be giving a short lesson/tutorial/presentation on analyzing english
literature. I will need to get my prezi/timeline done soon because all of my
other elements will be based off of it. It will show overtime how authors
would favor a certain style and trend in each time period. The lesson
planning and assessments will be done later on since I would need to place
more thought in turning my presentation into lesson and quizzes. My
interactive element will be a questionnaire, as the student answers
questions a different storyline could open up to them to show whether they
died or ultimately took down a dystopian government. It might be a little
difficult coming up with that many storylines so an alternative would be to
show which book they would respond to most and how likely the authors
message has come through. The interest survey will basically ask my
audience how familiar they are with dystopias and how interested they are in
the genre. Hopefully the English I and II teachers have lesson plans that will
somewhat be involved with dystopian literature and would be interested in
allowing me to place fliers in their classrooms. I dont plan on offering extra
credit because coming to my spring action would benefit them over their
high school career.
