DUST SUPPRESSION SYSTEM

Design, supply of all materials, install, testing, commissioning etc. for Dust
suppression system for coke handling system (complete in all respects including
Pumps, storage tanks, compressors etc. is in Contractor;s scope).
-

Dry fog based agglomerative dust suppression system (DFDS) for transfer
towers. The Pumps for dry fog system (stand-by pumps shall also be provided)
located in pump house takes plain water from on ground storage tank and
supplies to spray nozzles through flow control box located nearby the receiving
and discharge point of conveyor at above transfer points. Similarly screw
compressors supplies compressed air to main air receiver located at
compressor house. Compressed air is supplied to spray nozzle through flow
control box at different Jn. House along with water from pump for providing dry
fog type dust suppression system. The FCB shall be actuated and allow water
and air to flow through spray nozzles whenever material flow occurring signal is
received by PLC. The Dry Fog (water atomization with compressed air) dust
control system works on the principal of agglomeration. Dust particles released
from coke become air borne, are made to pass through blanket of extremely
fine dry fog. Plain water is mixed with compressed air in a ratio through highly
efficient acoustic nozzles which produces millions of miniscule water droplets in
the form of a DENSE DRY FOG, which when kept entrapped within an
enclosure at a dust generating transfer point, can effectively contain and control
dust particles. The basic principle of system is generation of like size water
droplets and its collision with dust particles causing agglomeration with other
dust particles and its growth in size and mass. Finally the mass becomes large
and heavy enough to settle back on to the source material where they are
carried through the process without any special handling.

Plain water dust suppression system at stock pile, Rail Loading area & truck
loading area. The system consists minimum 2 nos centrifugal pumps (1W+1S)
to draw water from tanks and supply up to sprinkler. Sprinklers are provided at
approximately 26m spacing (however, spacing will be finalized during detail
engineering for effective system) along the length of each stock pile through
pipe. Gate valve is provided at inlet of pumps for isolation of water. 1 no gate
valve, 1 no. non return valve are provided at outlet of each pump. Each
sprinkler will have Globe valve & piston operated normally closed type solenoid
valve to Start/Stop spraying automatically. Pressure Gauge is provided to
indicate outlet pressure. Pressure switch is provided at common outlet Pipe
line. In the event of any discharge valve fails to open, pressure will be build up
