SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of work of this package tender involves design, detail engineering,
preparation of drawings, reviewed and obtaining approval from PMC/ Owner,
fabrication, erection, installation, tie-up with main system, construction, painting,
testing, commissioning, trial runs, performance guaranteeing, supply of all materials,
items, equipment, transportation, labour, consumables, tools and tackles, civil works
etc. required for completion of job as per specifications, standards, data sheets,
drawings, codes, & good engineering practice accepted by client and direction of
Engineer-in-charge in all respect of all the General Civil works including preparation of
drawings/documents for taking approval from Statutory Bodies (like CCOE of
PESO,TAC or equivalent agency, DGCA etc.) /Local Bodies for COKE HANDLING
SYSTEM PACKAGE AND ITS ASSOCIATED FACILITIES at Integrated Refinery
Expansion Project, Kochi.
The scope of work mainly involves as described below, but not limited to the following:
-

Clearing and stripping of the area, removing vegetation, grass, shrubs, roots etc.
within the battery limit including contractors storage yard.

RCC pavement in stock pile area (from approach gate to central column and all
around central column for crane movement area) and truck loading silo area.

Design, engineering, construction, testing, commissioning of fire protection system

for entire area within scope limit including taking tapping from hookup points with
isolation valve, matching flange, fittings and valve pit as per scope drawing
including hydrants/ monitors required to provide proper coverage. Minimum three
nos of Long range water cum foam monitors are to be provided around circular
coke storage yard for coverage. Fire water ring main shall be provided around coke
storage yard and buildings (sub-station & control room). Any boosting pump
required to enhance the fire water pressure is in EPC contractors scope.
Underground Fire protection piping shall be provided with in RCC Trenches.

Automatic (deluge) High Velocity Spray system (as per OISD and rules of TAC)
shall be provided on oil filled transformers having oil capacity 2000 liters or more
and actuated through Quartzoid bulb (QB) and control shall also be manual, local
through push button and remote from control room.

Concrete sleepers to be provided for the above ground piping considering/

incorporating Geo-technical recommendations.

First aid fire fighting equipments (fire extinguishers) and personal protective
equipments shall be provided as per TAC/ OISD in coke handling (storage yard)
area, substation, control room, truck/ rail loading silos etc.

Dust suppression system: a) Dry fog type (transfer towers), b) Raw water sprinklers
(Stockpile area, rail loading station and truck loading station). Water supply for dust
suppression system is to be taken from the service water (WS) line as shown in
dwg. No. A307-OID-16-43-7000.

Distribution network of Drinking water system for coke handling areas/ buildings,
safety shower & eye wash or any other places required in the EPC scope limit,
