programming problem(IVIFMOLPP) with trapezoidal
intuitionistic fuzzy numbers. Due to the conflicting nature
of the multi-objective functions, the interval valued
intuitionistic fuzzy multi-objective linear programming
problem(IVIFMOLPP) is converted into a interval valued
intuitionistic fuzzy single-objective linear programming
problem(IVIFSOLPP) by using this new method. A properly
efficient interval valued intuitionistic fuzzy solution to
MOLPP is proposed in which all the coefficients are
trapezoidal intuitionistic fuzzy numbers(TIFNS) which are
reduced to
interval valued intuitionistic fuzzy
numbers(IVIFNS) for various and cut values.

Abstract---Most of the engineering problems deal with multi

objectivity and uncertainty. Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets [IFS] is very
much helpful to address these sorts of problems. This paper deals
with a new method namely boundary sum objective method
(BSOM) for finding a fair solution to interval valued intuitionistic
fuzzy multi-objective linear programming problem (IVIFMOLPP)
with trapezoidal intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (TIFNS). The
proposed method converts the interval valued intuitionistic fuzzy
multi-objective linear programming problem(IVIFMOLPP) into
the interval valued intuitionistic fuzzy single objective linear
programming problem (IVIFSOLPP). Finally, an illustrative
numerical example is presented in order to clarify the proposed
approach and the intuitionistic fuzzy outputs obtained by
MATLAB software are also given to verify the robustness of the
proposed method.

The paper is organized as follows: Section 2

introduces the preliminaries of fuzzy sets, intuitionistic fuzzy
sets, TIFNS, IVIFNS and the modified arithmetical
operations on IVIFNS. Section 3 deals with the formulation
of the problem and the proposition. In section 4, an algorithm
on boundary sum objective method is proposed to solve the
IVIFMOLPP. Section 5 deals with an application of this new
method by a numerical illustration and the MATLAB outputs
to check the validity of the proposed method. Some
concluding remarks are given in section 6.

INTRODUCTION
The notion of fuzzy sets was introduced by Zadeh[9]
and it was generalised to intuitionistic fuzzy sets by
Atanassov [1]. Nowadays, the Intuitionistic fuzzy set[IFS]
has received more and more consideration, since the
information about attribute values is usually uncertain or
fuzzy due to the increasing complexity of the socioeconomic surroundings and the vagueness of intrinsic
subjective nature of human thinking. Therefore, it is desirable
to consider the knowledge of experts about the parameters as
intuitionistic fuzzy data. Many researchers have applied
the fuzzy set theory and the intuitionistic fuzzy set theory to
the field of decision making. Bellman and Zadeh[2] proposed
the concept of decision making in fuzzy envoironment.
Zimmermann[10] proposed the first formation of fuzzy
linear programming problem. Jayalakshmi and Pandian[6]
proposed bound and decomposition method to solve fully
fuzzy linear programming problems. Nagoor Gani. A and
Irene Hepzibah. R[7] discussed the MOLPP with interval
numbers.

CONCLUSION
This paper reveals how the proposed method namely
boundary sum objective method(BSOM) can be efficiently
used for solving interval valued multi-objective linear

fair solution to the given IVIFMOLPP and shows how it
reduces the complexities in solving the IVIFMOLPP by
using IVIFSOLPP. Finally, the diagrammatic outputs given
by MATLAB software for prescribed values of

shows the effectiveness of the proposed method.
