Identify and explain the two (2) divisions of the Ten (10) Commandments.

Choose any
one (1) commandment which you think people (including you) violate most often and
explain why. State the specific commandment.
1) God and His people
-

These commandments are between God and His people. Through obeying these
commandments, we will be able to obey the conclusion which is "Love the Lord
your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind."

1) You shall have no other gods before me.

2) You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above
or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them
or worship them.
3) You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God.
4) Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.

2) You and your neighbor

-

These commandments are between people. Through obeying these

commandments, we will be able to obey the conclusion which is "Love your
neighbor as yourself."

5) Honor your father and your mother.

6) You shall not murder.
7) You shall not commit adultery.
8) You shall not steal.
9) You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
10) You shall not covet your neighbor's wife.

"Honor your father and your mother."

Among the ten commandments, we often violate this commandment. We
sometimes dishonor our father and mother or physical parents because we thought that
we want to be free, we want to live a life with a freedom to choose the path that we want
to walk. And we sometimes disobey whatever they commanded us to do.
But we must realize why God commanded us to honor our father and mother.
Because without them, we can never be existing on this earth.

1. Identify and explain the two (2) parts of the Lord's prayer, it's significance
and meaning.

1) Concerning God and the glory of God.

Matthew 6:9-10
Our Father in Heaven,
(Jesus taught us that God who is in heaven is our Father.)
Hallowed be Your name,
(When we say this line, we are actually asking that His name should be sanctified
by us and in us, and also in every nation and person. That is why Jesus
commanded to go into all nations and baptize them in the name of the Father,
Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19))
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done,
(Actually, all the purpose of God will stand. And God will do all that He please.
(Isaiah 46:10))
on earth as it is in heaven.
2) Concerning our needs.
Matthew 6:11-13
Give us today our daily bread,

(We are actually asking for daily food for our soul, that is the words of God.)
And forgive us our sins,

(We are asking the forgiveness of our sins because we actually committed a very
grave sins, unforgivable sin that became the reason why our soul deserve to die.
(Romans 6:23) We want to receive the forgiveness of our sins that we committed
in the kingdom of heaven.)
as we have forgiven those who sin against us,
and lead us not into temptation,

(Because actually we once tempted by the evil one that is why we committed a
sin against God in the kingdom of heaven.)
but deliver us from the evil one.

(So that, we will not be tempted again by that evil one so that we can never
commit sin again and again.)

2. Enumerate and describe the seven (7) deadly sins. Which do you think is
the most committed sin? Why? Explain.

SEPTEM PECCATA MORTALIA (SEVEN DEADLY SINS)

1) Lust
It is intense longing. It is usually thought of as intense or unbridled sexual
desire, which leads to fornication, adultery, rape, bestiality, and other immoral
sexual acts. However, lust could also mean simply desire in general; thus, lust for
money, power, and other things are sinful. In accordance with the words of Henry
Edward, the impurity of lust makes one "a slave of the devil".
2) Gluttony
It is the overindulgence and overconsumption of anything to the point of waste. In
Christianity, it is considered a sin if the excessive desire for food causes it to be
withheld from the needy. an example is Esau selling his birthright for ordinary
food of bread and pottage of lentils. His punishment was that the "profane person
. . . who, for a morsel of meat sold his birthright," we learn that "he found no
place for repentance, though he sought it carefully, with tears."
3) Greed
It is, like lust and gluttony, a sin of desire. However, greed is applied to an
artificial, rapacious desire and pursuit of material possessions. Greed is a sin
against God, just as all mortal sins, in as much as man condemns things eternal
for the sake of temporal things. It is an inordinate desire to acquire or possess
more than one needs, especially with respect to material wealth. Like pride, it can
lead to not just some, but all evil.
4) Sloth
