Delivery of specimen 29 november 1999 Date of test 29 november 1999 3 Test procedure The test specimen was mounted into the test opening of the partition wall of the window test rig P-F according to DIN 52210-02:1984 using a mounting frame which was weighted with lead. It was butt-jointed as prescribed for installation type 2, it was wedged and secured and was opened and closed several times. The connecting joints were completely stuffed with plastic foam and sealed on both sides with plastic sealant of type Perennator 2001 S grey. Page 3of4 2 Test report 161 22335/1.0.0e of 15 december 1999 Company _ SCHUCO International KG, D-33609 Bielefeld TO ROSENHEIM For measuring the airborne sound insulation a test noise was generated using a dodecahedron loudspeaker in the source room. With a two-channel measurement system for building acoustics the sound level difference between the sound level L, in the source room and the sound level L, in the receiving room was measured at least at two positions of the loudspeakers according to DIN 52210-1:1984-08. The microphones automatically moved through the room on a circular path ‘Two measurements of the reverberation were carried out in the receiving room using two positions of loudspeaker and microphone each. The reverberation times T were achieved by taking the arithmetic average. The equivalent area of absorption A is calculated using the volume V of the receiving room as follows: A= 0,163. m T From the measurement values and the test area S of the test specimen the sound reduction index R is calculated following the function: R=L,-L, +10 os dB The measurement was carried out using the following equipment Apparatus Type Producer Integrating measurement device Type Nortronic 840 Norsonic-Tippkemper Microphone-preamplifier Type 1201 Norsonic-Tippkemper Microphone Type 1220 Norsonic-Tippkemper Pistonphone Type 4220 Briel & Kjaer Loudspeaker dodecahedron Type 229, 95 Ohm Norsonic-Tippkemper Amplifier Type 235, 100 W Norsonic-Tippkemper Rotating microphone Type 231-N-360 Norsonic-Tippkemper In three year intervals the if. attends to comparing measurements at the Physikalisch- Technische Bundesanstalt (Federal institution for physical-technical affairs) at Braun- schweig. The sound level meter of the acoustic measurement system is regularly calibrated at the Eichamt (Office of weights and measures) at Dortmund. The complete measuring arrangement is calibrated at the beginning of a sound level measurement. The if. Rosenheim is included as no. “BAY 18” into the “list of bodies for testing, surveillance and certification according to the land's building directive” issued by the DIBt. 4 Test results 4.1 Tested and calculated values The values of the measured airborne sound reduction index of the tested facade element with fixed glazing are drawn-up in the diagram of the annexed data sheet as a function of the frequency and are given in the following table: Page 40f4 @ Test report 161 22335/1.0.0e of 15 december 1999 Company _ SCHUCO Intemational KG, 0-33609 Bielefeld ROSENHEIM finHz | 50 63 80 | 100 125 160 | 200 250 315 | 400 _500_630 RindB | 376 31,8 338| 303 39,0 324| 355 393 42,9 | 45,0 47.0 484 finHz | 800 1000 1250 | 1600 2000 2500 | 3150 4000 5000 Rind’ | 49.2 490 476[ 459 506 546 | 578 586 584 From that the weighted sound reduction index Ry, according to DIN EN ISO 717-1: 1997-01 can be calculated for the frequency range from 100 Hz to 3150 and the spectrum adaption terms C and C,; Ry (CiCy) = 48 (-45-5) dB According to DIN EN ISO 717-1:1997-01 further spectrum adaptation terms result from that Cosi = -1 dB Croo.so00 = 0 dB Ceoso0 = 0 dB Cysoso = -8 dB Cr. ro08000 -5 dB Cysos00 = -5 dB For the evidence of aptitude according to DIN 4109 is valid: Tested value Ryp=48d8 and calculated value Ryp= 46 dB ‘The characteristic values Ryp and Ry as well as the required margin between laboratory measurements and in-situ measurements (2 dB) correspond to DIN 4109 : 1989-11. of test results The values given in this test report are only valid for the specimen described in item 2.
