Rosenheim was charged by SCHUCO International KG, D-33609 Bielefeld, to determine the airborne sound insulation according to DIN 52210 and DIN EN ISO 717-1 of a facade element with fixed glazing of the product designation .FW 60™. This test serves for the evidence of aptitude for the requirements stated in DIN 4109 (aptitude test 1) 2 Test specimen Specimen Facade element System name Fweo" Frame material Aluminium profile with thermal break, untreated surface Frame Exterior dimensions 1230 mm x 1480 mm Mullion cross-section 150,5mm x= 60mm Transom cross-section 126,5mm x 60mm Glazing Insulating glass unit Designation / Type Phonstop 36/42 Visible pane dimensions 1110 mm x 1360 mm Pane construction 42/20/4 (mm) Total thickness: 36 mm Filling in pane space 47% Asgon, 12% SF, (according to if.t. analysis) Glass sealing exterior and interior with sealing profiles Vapour pressure balance __ by profiles in mullions The facade element with fixed glazing can be seen in cross-section in the measurement sheet and in the annex, ‘Specimen collection Production of the specimens by the customer regarding the necessary dimensions. Delivery of specimen 29 november 1999 Date of test 30 november 1999 3. Test procedure The test specimen was mounted into the test opening of the partition wall of the window test rig P-F according to DIN 52210-02:1984 using a mounting frame which was weighted with lead. It was butt jointed as prescribed for installation type 2, it was wedged and secured and was opened and closed several times. The connecting joints were completely stuffed with plastic foam and sealed on both sides with plastic sealant of type Perennator 2001 S grey. With a two-channel measurement system for building acoustics the sound level difference between the sound level L, in the source room and the sound level L, in the receiving room was measured at least at two positions of the loudspeakers according to DIN 52210-1:1984-08. The microphones automatically moved through the room on a circular path. Two measurements of the reverberation were carried out in the receiving room using two positions of loudspeaker and microphone each. The reverberation times T were achieved by taking the arithmetic average. The equivalent area of absorption A is calculated using the volume V of the receiving room as follows: A=0,63 x m From the measurement values and the test area S of the test specimen the sound reduction index R is calculated following the function: s R=L,-L,+10-lg> dB 2 las The measurement was carried out using the following equipment: Apparatus Type Producer Integrating measurement device Type Nortronic 840 —_Norsonic-Tippkemper Microphone-preamplifier Type 1201 Norsonic-Tippkemper Microphone Type 1220 Norsonic-Tippkemper Pistonphone Type 4220 Briel & Kjeer Loudspeaker dodecahedron Type 228,96 Ohm —_Norsonic-Tippkemper Amplifier Type 235,100 W _Norsonic-Tippkemper Rotating microphone Type 231-N-360 _Norsonic-Tippkemper In three year intervals the i.f.1. attends to comparing measurements at the Physikalisch- Technische Bundesanstalt (Federal institution for physical-technical affairs) at Braun- schweig. The sound level meter of the acoustic measurement system is regularly calibrated at the Eichamt (Office of weights and measures) at Dortmund. The complete measuring arrangement is calibrated at the beginning of a sound level measurement. The if. Rosenheim is included as no. “BAY 18" into the “list of bodies for testing, surveillance and certification according to the land’s building directive” issued by the DIBt. 4 Test results 4.1. Tested and calculated values The values of the measured airborne sound reduction index of the tested facade element with fixed glazing are drawn-up in the diagram of the annexed data sheet as a function of the frequency and are given in the following table: xmaurirrsRovexTevonzzies@23361306 dor Page ofa e Test report 161 22335/1.20e of 15 december 1999 Company _ SCHUCO Intemational KG, D-33609 Bielefeld OO ROSENHEIM finkz | 50 63 80 | 100 125 160 | 200 250 315 | 400 500 _630 RindB | 37,1 31,8 326| 27,1 293 22,4 | 256 297 345] 379 41,2 41,2 finHz | 800 1000 1250 | 1600 2000 2500 | 3150 4000 _5000 RindB | 401 409 419/458 481 480| 456 47.3 506 From that the weighted sound reduction index Ry according to DIN EN ISO 717-1: 1997-01 can be calculated for the frequency range from 100 Hz to 3150 and the spectrum adaption terms C and Cy: Ry (CiC,) = 44 (-2;-6) dB According to DIN EN ISO 717-1:1997-01 further spectrum adaptation terms result from that Ceosiso -2 dB Creo.s000. -1 dB Ceosooo = -1 dB 6 0B Cysoos00 = -6 dB Crsosoo = -6 dB Cy soaso For the evidence of aptitude according to DIN 4109 is valid: Tested value Rw, 41dB and _— calculated value Ry, =39dB The characteristic values Ry» and Ry» as well as the required margin between laboratory measurements and in-situ measurements (2 dB) correspond to DIN 4109 : 1989-11. 42 Vali ity of test results The values given in this test report are only valid for the specimen described in item 2.
