GUIDELINES FOR PARTICIPANTS

1. Each team shall consist of only 5 members.

2. The members should only be those whose names have been registered & entry fees paid before the
start of the event.
3. The rankings, base price of the players & the budget shall be declared to the participants few minutes
prior to the event. The teams must keep in mind that their focus should be on buying the best team on
paper. No argument or dispute shall be entertained regarding the players rankings, base price & the
budget. Ranks are based on official ICC Rankings for the month of February, 2016.
4. Each team shall have to assign a leader who shall alone raise the bid on behalf of every team during
the auction. The teams can discuss amongst themselves, however, in order to avoid chaos only the
leader shall raise the bid.
5. In case of any complication during the bidding process, the final decision shall lie with the faculty
who shall be assigned as a judge during the auction to avoid any conflicts.
6. The teams shall be given a Strategic Timeout midway in the auction. However, it is the responsibility
of the leader to make sure their teams return to their respective seats on time.
7. In case of any disturbance from the audience during the auction, the respective team of the divisions
of which students are found to be creating chaos, shall be penalized Rs.3 crore from their allotted
budget.
8. The teams shall have the compulsion to form a team of 11 players. Failing to do so shall result in their
elimination.
9.

The teams have to be formed in such a way that it includes 5 bowlers, 5 batsmen and 1 wicket
keeper.

10. The teams finishing with an equal rank total shall be judged on their remaining budget. The team
with the highest remaining budget shall win in such a scenario.
