Ngugi portrays how many of these characters internalize colonialism and shows the damaging
consequences of this not only on a personal level, but also on a communal one.
Ngugi's hope for the future, evident in the title, persists through the horrors of war, racism, poverty and
deception. In

and colonized people and so this work is also known as his masterpiece.
He tries to bring reality and realism in front of worlds with help of all his
works and this work is also adding the same in his patriotic movement for
people and nation.
