Eligibility:Inordertobeeligible
ApplicantsarerequiredtohavesuccessfullycompletedatleasttheequivalentofanAustralianFirst

ClassHonoursdegree(thisisafouryeardegreewithamajorresearchprojectinthefinalyear).All
qualifyingprogramsofstudymustbesuccessfullycompleted.
Scholarshipswillbeawardedonacademicmeritandresearchpotential.Extracurricularachievements
arenotconsidered.
InternationalapplicantsmustnotholdaresearchqualificationregardedbytheUniversityofAdelaideto
beequivalenttoanAustralianResearchDoctoratedegreeor,ifundertakingaResearchMasterdegree,
notholdaresearchqualificationregardedbytheUniversityofAdelaidetobeequivalenttoorhigherthan
anAustralianResearchMasterdegree.
InternationalapplicantswhohavenotprovidedevidenceoftheirmeetingtheminimumEnglishlanguage
proficiencyrequirementsfordirectentrybythescholarshipclosingdate,orwhohavecompletedaPre
EnrolmentEnglishProgramtomeettheentryrequirementsfortheintendedprogramofstudy,arenot
eligible.
CitizensandPermanentResidentsofAustralia,andcitizensofNewZealandareineligible.
Thoseundertakingresearchviaremotecandidatureisineligible.
CandidatesarerequiredtoenrolintheUniversityofAdelaideasinternationalstudentsandmust
maintaininternationalstudentstatusforthedurationoftheirenrolmentintheUniversity.
CandidateswhohaveappliedforAustralianpermanentresidentstatuscanapplyforASIscholarships.
Internationalapplicantsarenoteligibleiftheyhavealreadycommencedthedegreeforwhichtheyare
seekinganawardunlesstheycanestablishthattheywereunabletoapplyinthepreviousround.
ScholarshipsholdersmustcommencestudyattheUniversityofAdelaideinthesemesterthe
scholarshipisoffered.
Applicantswhoappliedandwereeligibleforconsiderationinaninternationalscholarshipround,and
wereunsuccessful,willautomaticallybereconsideredinthefollowinginternationalscholarshipround,
assumingtheyholdavalidofferofcandidatureforthatintake.Anapplicantwhohasbeenconsideredin
2roundscannotbereconsideredinanyfuturescholarshiprounds.
Theofferofascholarshipiscontingentuponastudentnotbeingofferedanotherawardbythe
CommonwealthofAustralia,theUniversityofAdelaide,oranoverseassponsor.TheUniversity
reservestherighttowithdrawanofferofascholarshipatanytimepriortoenrolmentifitisadvisedthat
anawardeehasbeenofferedascholarshipequaltoorinexcessofthefinancialvalueoftheaward
offeredbytheUniversity.
