get ready for

big things.
Rather than offering an overly specialized program with
a singular focus, the Beedie School of Business has
developed a program designed to provide emerging leaders
with the broad set of tools needed to achieve real-world
success over the course of their entire career.
This exhilarating, collaborative experience will be completed
in just 12 months, which means you can get back to work.
Our full-time MBA combines theory and application to
provide you with the skills and tools needed to do big things
in your career.

Courses are based on the principles of applied learning. This

means youll use real cases and examples to build
knowledge and explore topics relevant to todays business
world.
We also push beyond the classic business education by
incorporating subjects such as entrepreneurship,
sustainability, and creativity. Our unique environment will
provide you with the opportunity to engage with a wide range
of progressive and innovative organizations.

beedie.sfu.ca/mba

An education for
the real world.
While our curriculum moves quickly, the workload is
comparable to a full-time job. Class sizes are small to
encourage participation, discussion, and direct feedback
from instructors.
What separates our program from other MBAs is an
emphasis on applied learning. This means youll spend more
time discussing real-world problems and developing your
communication skills. Youll also be exposed to a wide range
of progressive and innovative organizations.

Cohort learning is an integral part of our program.

A cohort is a group of 50 students who experience the entire
MBA program together. Your group will participate in a set
schedule of the same classes and learning experiences. Our
unique cohort approach and small class sizes are intended to
encourage meaningful, ongoing interaction both with faculty
and within the cohort.
Youll collaborate with students in this diverse group on
projects and, inevitably, learn from one another as you form
lifelong friendships and business connections.

a variety of industries. Previous groups have travelled to
Brazil, Argentina, Chile, China, Peru, Colombia, and Japan.

Success means loving what you do. Keep

raising your personal bar and building
meaningful relationships with the people
around you. Sometimes you need a little
bit of help getting there. Thats what this
program will do for you.
