103.02 Describe digital animation production methods, software

and hardware.

Pre-Production

Pre-Production is the determination of the main purpose of the

project. It define the intended target audience. To determine
sequence of events, pre-production use a storyboard and it provide
client with a visual representation of ideas.
*Select hardware and software

Animation
Software

Animation Software:
2D Animation: it animates relatively simple drawings/graphics on a
2D canvas
*examples such as Adobe Flash or Animate
3D Animation: it animates complex, life-like 3D models that interact
with an artificial environment.
*examples such as Cinema4D, 3D Studio Max, or Maya

Production

Production is importing existing graphics, audio and/or video into

animation projects library. Its a process to draw/create original
graphics and place them on independent layers. Production
animates objects according to the storyboard.

Post-Production

Post-Production is a process to optimize the animation output file

for specific client needs.
Client needs that includes primary use of animation, file size
requirements, and file format requirements.

Frame

Frame is the still image that creates animation.
