Question 1
Small plastic bottles are made from preforms supplied by Beta Polymers. It is possible that the
variability in the bottles is due in part to the variation in the preforms. Twenty-four preforms are
sampled from the extruder at Beta Polymers, one preforms every 5 minutes. Table 1 shows the
weights of the preforms (g).
