General Requirements for a FEED study and PTE preparation

The purpose of a FEED study is to ensure that all main elements of the chosen design
solution are defined and that the scope of the whole job is understood sufficiently
such that a target cost estimate and schedule can be prepared.
The following list provides a guideline to discipline input required for a generic
modification including long lead equipment items. At the Kick-Off meeting,
deliverables, which are relevant to each specific modification, should be agreed.
Piping:

Input to BoD, equipment purchase specification and FEED report.

Produce P&IDs for FEED / HAZOP (Issued as HAZOP comments incorporated)

Offshore surveys

Produce piping layouts, composite ISOs and material estimates (Prelim based on
FEED P&IDs)

Produce valve schedules, line lists and tie-in schedules (Based on FEED P&IDs)

Preliminary stress ISOs and analysis (Critical lines only).

Technical bid evaluation of equipment.

Instruments:

Input to BOD, equipment purchase specification and FEED report.

Technical Bid evaluation of equipment
