Configuring Vlan in Laptop


1. Update the Network adapter driver for configuring Vlan id in your laptop.
2. For updating driver, Use the below link for downloading and installing driver.

[Network adapter has to be from Intel and OS is Windows 7]

Configure Vlan using the below method:


Right click on Computer > Click Properties
Click Device Manager
Expand Network Adapters
Right click on the adapter you want to
set the VLAN for > Click Properties

8. Click on the Advanced Tab
9. Under the Property window select VLAN ID
10. In the Value window set your VLAN ID as per ATND
[OAM VID from ATND for Ericsson, NodeB VLAN(MuB) for Huawei]
11. Click OK.

12. Configure IP address, Subnet MUX and default gateway in your Laptop in your as per ATND

13. For configuring IP address, follow the below method
Go to Control Panel -> Network and Sharing Center -> Change Adapter Setting
->Local Area Connection

For E// NodeB:


i. IP address: OAM IP address [as per NodeB ATND]
ii. Subnet Musk: OAM Subnet Mask [as per NodeB ATND]
iii. Default gateway: OAM Default router [as per NodeB ATND]
For Huawei NodeB:
i. IP address: NodeB IP (MuB) [as per NodeB ATND]
ii. Subnet Musk: As per /notation [as per NodeB ATND]
iii. Default gateway: NTTN router IP (MuB)
[as per NodeB ATND]

For O&M Ping Test (Cont.)


14. Connect Laptop in the NodeB port of TN /RTN
15. Ping OSS IP address: 10.101.49.211 [for E// NodeB]
Ping M2000 IP address: 192.168.141.100 [For Huawei NodeB]
16. Ping Response should be like below

8. Click on the Advanced Tab
9. Under the Property window select VLAN ID
10. In the Value window set your VLAN ID as per ATND
[IuB UP/CP VLAN ID from ATND for Ericsson, NodeB VLAN(Iub) for Huawei]
11. Click OK.

12. Configure IP address, Subnet MUX and default gateway in your Laptop in your as per ATND

13. For configuring IP address, follow the below method

ii. Subnet Musk: IuB UP/CP subnet mask [as per NodeB ATND]

For Huawei NodeB:
i. IP address: NodeB IP (IuB) [as per NodeB ATND]
ii. Subnet Musk: As per /notation [as per NodeB ATND]
iii. Default gateway: NTTN Router IP (IuB)
[as per NodeB ATND]

For IuB Ping Test (Cont.)


14. Connect Laptop in the NodeB port of TN /RTN

15. For E// NodeB, Ping the 2 NTP IP address of RNC mentioned in RNC ATND file (sheet # 20, column
ntpServerIpaddress). For example, if NodeB is from DRE01, you need to open sheet # 20 of DRE01
ATND file and ping the 2 IP address under column ntpServerIpaddress

16. For Huawei, Ping the below IP address as per RNC . For if NodeB is from KHR08, you need to ping 10.38.1.33
DRH05: 10.30.17.33
KRH08: 10.38.1.33
RRH09: 10.36.1.33
