unsuccessful?

Self fulfilling prophecies
Non active students need attention from from PE classes so they are less likely to quit physical
activity all together
4. Explain how physical maturity affects the physical skills of students.
Chronological age vs skeletal age, early maturing students are typically heavier and taller
Differences in body size affect performance differences when concerning strength and power

well-being of a student.
Can lead to diabetes and high blood pressure. These issues can then lead to heart disease and
stroke.

Physical activity gives you the energy that you need to learn in a classroom. Also, more
physically fit students have higher test scores.

7. Identify safety guidelines for exercise and physical activity that should be
addressed and followed by physical education teachers.
You should not have your students work out for a long period of time in the heat. Always allow
them to get water, especially if it is hot.

8. Explain the rationale for assigning fitness workloads on time rather than distance
or number.
This lets the students go at their own pace. Not everyone is at the same level and it is not fair to
judge them all the same way. By doing it by time, the students can measure their individual
progress as well from the beginning of the unit to the end.
