Installation
The WS2003 or iPAK timer can be fitted with up to two adapter cards, to provide
additional functions.
These are fitted in two positions, referred to as slot 1 and slot 2.
The Ethernet/IP adapter can be fitted into either slot 1 or slot 2.

Adapter setup
1.

After installation, switch on the timer.

If required, you can verify that the
adapter has been recognized by
using the WSP3 programmer to
select setup adapters from the
configuration menu. You can also set
the IP address by selecting the
adapter from the list shown.

An associated electronic data

sheet (.eds file) is available for use
with network configuration tools
(contact BF Entron if you require
this file).
If required, the adapter MAC
address can be read from the label
on the housing of the RJ45
connector.

There is no configuration assembly object implemented. However, some Ethernet/IP
clients require one. In this case, use instance ID 128 with data size 0.

Diagnostic indicators
Off = No activity
Amber = half duplex
Green = full duplex

Off = No link
Amber = 10BaseT
Green = 100BaseT

Ethernet/IP network status (2 LEDs)

Both Off = No IP address/device off
Flashing green/red = self test
Green LED flashing = no connection established
Green LED on = connection established
Red LED flashing = connection timed-out
Red LED on = error device IP address already in use
